Dental Implants Coral Springs
What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. A person who has lost teeth can regain the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile confidently, knowing that teeth appear natural and facial contours will be preserved. The implants are tiny titanium posts placed into the jaw bone where teeth are missing.
If you’re curious about the process of placing dental implants, it involves carefully inserting these titanium posts into the jawbone to create a stable foundation for artificial teeth. This process ensures the implants bond with the bone, creating a durable and natural-looking replacement.
In addition, dental implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.
Evaluation for Dental Implants
If, like many others, you feel implant dentistry is your choice, we ask that you undergo a dental/radiographic examination and health history. During these consultation visits, your specific needs and considerations will be addressed by either Dr. Snyder or by an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon referred by our practice. Your questions and concerns are important to us, and our team will work closely to help you succeed in your procedure.

Why Select Dental Implants Over More Traditional Types Of Restorations?
There are several reasons: A dental bridge can sacrifice the structure of surrounding good teeth to bridge the space of the missing tooth/teeth. In addition, removing a denture or a “partial” at night may be inconvenient, not to mention dentures that slip can be uncomfortable and embarrassing.
When Are Dental Implants Placed?
Implants are often placed several months after extraction. At times, an implant may be placed immediately after a tooth’s extraction. This may involve a little more risk, but it simplifies the process, and you won’t have to wait for another appointment to place the implant. When infection or other problems with the bone are present, immediate implant placement is not the best treatment.
How Many Dental Implants Do I Need?
Most frequently, one implant per missing tooth is placed. Because many of the larger teeth in the back of your jaws have two or three roots, replacing missing back teeth with larger implants is the most common approach.
